Activities and events for 2013:
January 14th, 7:30 PM at Town Hall – presentation of our new Raven Rock book to the Township Committee
February 21, 2013 – 12:30 at Delaware Township school – announcement of 5th grade winners of tee-shirt logo contest
First place – general category First place – skunk category
Winners: Sam Davis, Allie Bokach, and Jaclyn Papalski
March – 8th grade essay contest / topic: “What an 8th grader’s life was like in 1838”
March 6th [Wednesday], 7:30 PM at Town Hall – brief presentation of ‘Geo-Mapping History’ [The Delaware Township part of this mapping project will be a link on our website within a few weeks.]
March 17th [Sunday], 10-3 PM at the Stockton Farm Market – book signing for Stories from Raven Rock
April 7th [Sunday], 3:00 PM at Town Hall – the official anniversary celebration, mini-drama, quilt presentation, and social with representatives from Raritan, E. Amwell & W. Amwell, Flemington, Lambertville and Stockton.
April 14th [Sunday], 10-3 PM at the Stockton Farm Market – book signing for Stories from Raven Rock
June 15th [Saturday] from 2:00 PM in the center of Sergeantsville – township-wide block party and celebration of our birth with music, food and dance. Walking tour of historic Sergeantsville will be from 2:00 – 3:00 PM. Block party is from 3:00 – 8:00 PM.
October 5th [Saturday] Community Day at Dilt’s Park from 9:00AM to 5:00PM – 175th celebration with 5K Run & Fun Walk, other special events, live music, classic car show, hot-air balloons, and fireworks!
October 26th [Saturday] at 9:00 AM – Gathering to announce the discovery of a Revolutionary War encampment site in Delaware Township.
November 2nd & 3rd [Saturday & Sunday] – ‘Thanksgiving in the Country’s 40th anniversary tour featuring our hamlet of Raven Rock in addition to other lovely homes
